Happy New Year, y'all.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
I counted down the '06 ten-count in Knox's pub in Ennis, and hit Enzo's for the first meal of the year- a snack box with curry chips.
My plane leaves tomorrow. Hopefully I won't sober up before then.

I'll see you all in the land of super-size me...

Some images from the LeHinch beach and surroundings. I was on the beach so long that we couldn't make the Cliffs of Moher, but I did get to pick up some cool rocks. And the sand was... springy. And there's a cool rock shop in Lescannor.
Two shots of Ennistymon, where the town is built around the cemetary hill:

These rock images are supposed to be older than the pyramids. And they're just on this rock by the side of the road. No signs, nothing. All the tourists go to the dolmen, which aren't halfway as old. Strange.

And Monks Pub, home of the ABSOLUTE BEST chowder anywhere on this planet. They may as well have invented it, because nothing else comes close.

I love this sign!

And a boat. And a bog on the boat. Good lad Murphy!

I don't know if I can top the image of a bollix on a bog on a boat, so I'll stop here.
I've been away from everything for over a week now it seems- I should have reserved a rental car since I'm at the mercy of Murf who is at the mercy of his brother, since the three car options that we had fell through. As the inestimable Mike the Bike Carney said as we were discussing the situation: 'without a car, you're fuct.'
So I'm just going to post all the pictures that have been building up on my hard drive, with little explanation. Without further ado:

Okay, I'm sorry, I love road signs:

'Pissed' means something different here. If you were to say that either of us in this picture looked 'pissed', you'd be correct. Doesn't matter which one:
